Transparent Pricing & Insurance Options
Removing the friction from investing in your mental health.
Therapy is an investment of your time, vulnerability, and financial resources. I design my billing practices to be entirely transparent, offering options for both insurance clients and private-pay individuals looking for specialized care.
My private-pay fees are $150 for a standard session and $250 for the initial intake session. I am in-network with the following insurance plans through a partnership with Bend Mental Wellness:
Aetna • Moda Health • Regence BCBS (and other BCBS BlueCard Plans) • Providence
Because of how insurance handles mental health counseling, your insurance may not cover your treatment even if I am considered an in-network provider. In most cases, premarital and newlywed counseling is not covered by insurance at all.
If you are utilizing out-of-network benefits, HSA/FSA cards, or private cash-pay options, I provide fully itemized Superbills (detailed clinical receipts) after each session to streamline your direct reimbursement process.
If you intend to use insurance, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring your treatment is covered and for covering any fees associated with your treatment that insurance does not pay.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE)
If you choose to participate in therapy without using insurance, you have a right to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act. Within a short time of scheduling, I will provide you a GFE outlining a range of anticipated costs of therapy during the next year, should you feel a need to be in therapy that long. You also have a right to request a copy of the GFE for up to six years.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your current GFE, not including unexpected expenses, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your GFE!
